BORROWDALE

Borrowdale is awesome, particularly viewed from Watendlath. From there one can see the effects of the forces which have formed the landscape. The volcanoes which formed the original landscape, modified during the ice age producing its deep u-shaped valley and then the effect of the river which feeds into the mighty Lake, lastly of course one can detect where man has scratched the surface.

This knowledge does not deflect from its gut wrenching and awe inspiring beauty. In these images I hope to convey the power of this landscape and the forces which have created it long before man intervened.
